  Civil and Environmental Engineering focuses on design and analysis of the built environment, including buildings, bridges, energy facilities, and other aspects of society's infrastructure. Civil and environmental engineers also analyze the impacts that human activity has on the natural environment and develop solutions that lead to environmental preservation. As such, civil and environmental engineers connect the built environment to the natural environment and provide environmental stewardship with a strong foundation in science and technology. This technology-based stewardship of the built and natural environments is strongly coupled with humanistic and societal concerns, including analysis of policy issues and development of regulatory frameworks. At Princeton, students in Civil and Environmental Engineering are educated through five different programs of concentration, which are described below.   The Environmental Engineering program is designed for students who wish to pursue a career related to the environment (engineering, law, business, or medicine) and for students who wish to continue on to advanced graduate studies in environmental engineering or a related earth science discipline. Course work in environmental engineering focuses on the analysis of, and engineering solutions to, environmental problems through combined study of the fundamental hydrological and environmental sciences and environmental engineering design.

The curriculum is offered in a cooperative effort between the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and the Department of Geosciences and is specially designed for the student who wishes to build upon the freshman and sophomore mathematics and engineering courses as a basis for studies in the earth sciences.

  Toefl必须要考,SAT 1和SAT 2 必须提交(ACT写作可以代替SAT reasoning成绩,但是SAT2必须提交),ACT必须有writing

  SAT II的要求?

  普林斯顿强烈建议申请人提交SAT II的两个测试的结果。尤其是B.S.E(工程学学士)的学生.应提交I级或II级测试成绩,SAT2必须提交两个成绩:数学必须,物理或化学(二选一)。

  Testing Deadlines

  所有SAT成绩必须是1月前提交,ACT成绩必须12月前提交,如果是国际申请请尽量12月前提交所有考试成绩。

  All SAT testing must be completed by the January test date. All ACT testing must be completed by the December test date. If you currently live outside the United States or Canada, try to complete all testing by the December test date, if possible.

  Substituting Other Tests for the SAT

  While you may submit the ACT with the Writing Test in place of the SAT Reasoning Test, you must still submit scores for the two required SAT Subject Tests.

  Engineering students at World Trade Center siteDuring the four years at Princeton, a CEE student is required to take at least thirty-six (36) courses. The 36 courses consist of:

  Humanities & Social Science Electives (at least 7 courses); B.S.E. students are required to include one course in four of the six areas listed:

  论文相当于两门课CEE 478 (Senior Thesis - counts as two courses). This is a full-year research project, although seniors register for this course in the Spring Term only. No grade is given in the fall; a double grade is awarded in the spring.
